My Story

Helping people reclaim their health through personalized, evidence-based clinical nutrition is more than my profession—it's the culmination of a lifelong journey.

My journey has taken me across North America, Australia, Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Europe through teaching, conservation work, international education, and cultural exchange. Along the way I experienced diverse food traditions and learned how many cultures use food, herbs, movement, and lifestyle practices to support health.

One lesson I consistently observed was that nourishing the body with real, minimally processed foods, and supportive lifestyle habits forms a powerful foundation for health. That insight shaped my desire to move into nutrition and health education to help others create healthier, more sustainable lives. I wanted a Food as Medicine approach which I found at the oldest naturopathic medical school in the country, National University of Natural Medicine.

Evidence Synthesis Research Experience

My work as an Evidence Synthesis Research Assistant involves evaluating the quality of scientific literature—including systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and umbrella reviews. Rather than restricting my analysis to a single area, I evaluate data across a wide spectrum of scientific, forensic, and clinical disciplines.

While my primary passion and future research goals are focused on clinical nutrition, this multi-disciplinary background gives me a distinct advantage. I am deeply trained to analyze complex health data, spot research bias, and determine which conclusions are genuinely supported by the strongest evidence. This rigorous training shapes my clinical practice every day, allowing me to dismantle internet health fads and build your personalized wellness plan on an unshakeable foundation of high-quality science.
